Strengths:    Strong bike to carry a load up to 275 lbs or more. Very ridgid frame that care was definately a plus in making this bike.Just sit back and enjoy the view is what I tell anyone who cares to listens.Shifting is a breeze as well as the brakes. Had no problems at all with tires or basically anything on this bike.I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Bikee Ct what a great bike!

Weaknesses:    Haven't found any yet, and don't expect to either.

Bottom Line:
I was so tired of riding a conventional bike that left me sore for days. I have seen a few recumbents around the trails and I started asking questions. Although Bikee is no longer in production that didn't stop me from making a great decision. This bike is nothing short of fantastic. It's a Lazy Boy on wheels. I have never been happier with the comfort styling and overall appearance of this bike. Riding all day is a pure pleasure. I didn't buy this for speed, I bought this for pure comfort and it has well proven that. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone who longs for a comfortable ride without getting that Wedgie feeling.

Strengths:    Comfort.

Weaknesses:    Tires, the rear tire is a flat magnet. I bought IRC metro and am very happy with it.
The seat lock does not work too well with approx. 280 lbs. There is regular slipage.

Bottom Line:
I went looking for a recumbant when my back was killing me. I am a commuter and my upright was just getting to be too much of a physical pain.
I tried a Vision 40 with uss and swb. With my back pain, and not being familiar with recumbants, it was a very painful experience.
The BikeE, CT was a totally different experience. At the time that I test road it, I was still experiencing a significant amount of back pain. However, the seat position of the BikeE was great. There was no more pain riding the bike than when I was standing or sitting (ruptured discs are a major bummer).
I ride about 20 miles a day. The bike handles fine. It is a bit heavy, but so was my mountain bike. I would definitely suggest this bike to people who are just starting out with recumbants or to people with lower back problems. The only serious negatives are finding mechanics who do the SRAM shifter correctly and as noted in weaknesses, the rear tire is a flat magnet (averaged a flat a week).
I purchased the fenders after riding through a really bad storm. They help a great deal if you don't like the taste of mud.

If they are very hilly, shorter is preferred. Also, is there anyone living in this area who would be interested in joini ... Read More »
