Summary:
I just got the bike from a bike show that was clearing these bikes out for Cervelo.

I was a toss up between this and a Colnago but I went with this bike because of the steel frame.
It felt quick right from the start and climbed hills without any effort.
For a steel bike it weighs less than my Devinci Chicane which is aluminum.

Strengths:
light, fast, handles and stops on a dime

Weaknesses:
My heels hit the rear stay and the toes hit the front tires if I turn the front wheel hard.

Bike Setup:
Campagnolo Chorus, Selle Italia saddle, ITM bars and stem, SPD pedals

Summary:
I have always upgraded my ride every couple of years, buying used bikes from sponsored riders. The Cervelo has certainly been a step up from my last steel bike (Marinoni). After trying Serotta, various aluminum bikes, and even a Kestrel, I prefer the Cervelo. There's a beautiful damping quality to steel, and a confidence in no hands riding that cannot be matched by aluminum. Carbon fiber is newer technology, but has not been refined to the extent of steel. With Cervelo's use of new alloys, all the best of steel is now combined with a very light frameset -- have we now reached the end of significant steel development?

Strengths:
Stiff with a velvety ride. Precise tracking on descents. Lively in the hills. Light weight. A bike that only those who know, really know how good it is. Someone will have to build something special to get me to trade this bike in. I am rating this a five in value only because, although expensive, this bike is worth the higher price.

Weaknesses:
Paint scheme not exactly up to best in class standards.

Summary:
this is pure and simple the one of the best bike i have riden. it's light and a damn comfortable ride. it is the rebirth of steel. cervelo is bringing it back in a big way. i think one of the only bike it can compare to would be the serrota CSI but then that frame is about 2lbs heavier. i said i would never give a 5 so this one should be a 4.5

Strengths:
comfortable ride. light weight. great for those long rides.

Weaknesses:
price. you got to have the coin. it you do you can take it with you, you might as well give your self the best treat out there.
crit guys will want the prodigy. it's stiffer in the bb and sprints better
