Strengths: Extremely well rounded. Ride, handling, finish, not one on every corner. Get lots of looks.Weaknesses: It does everything so well, I can't find any faults at this time. I will have to ride it more to see.Bottom Line: I bought this frameset for my wife, to compete in local Tri's and participate in group rides. I built it up with Ultegra and Ritchey aero rims.
My wife and I are virtually the same size, and I have put a little over 100 miles on test riding it the last week. What a wonderful bike! I ride a Pinarello Paris and I hate to say it, but the Prodigy seems noticeably more efficient on the flats and especially climbing. My riding buddies and I have a local 30 mile, 5 hill route with about 2500 to 2800 total vertical, and I was able to fly on the Prodigy.
Nice ride, wonderfully solid handling, beautiful paint finish and scheme. It has a "simple elegance" about it.
With carbon seat post, light stem, wheels and other weight saving bits, I have it in the mid 18's. Not bad for a steel bike that is so well rounded. Can you tell I don't want to give it back to my wife?

Strengths: Energy return from the frame. Comfort. LooksBottom Line: I was shopping around for a new bike and a buddy of mine told me I should look at Cervelo because they are doing great things with steel. Was he ever right! I love the way it feels and handles. It sprints like a cheetah and climbs like a dang mountain goat. Once you get it wound up, it stays wound up. I love the color scheme too. I never thought I'd own a white bike but this color scheme is awesome. It's so comfortable on long rides too. Centuries are an afterthought now.

Strengths: the ride, silky smoothWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: Just bought the 2003 Super Prodigy, this is steel at its best. Full carbon fork, seat post, and Speedplays. The ride is silky smooth, with no flex at the BB. Ultegra groupo definitely worth the extra $$$ over 105's. The black paint scheme is awesome!!

Strengths: Awesome ride quality, price, and workmanship. Love the fact that I can change the color scheme of the bike by just changing tires and bar tape. Very cool.Weaknesses: The stock seat was crap.Bottom Line: I love this bike, I purchased it because it was steel, and because it was a great price for the specs. The only problem I had was probably the fault of supergo and that was that, the only cable with the spacer still attached was on the top tube so before I caught that problem both sides of my downtube got really nice scratches up and down it.

Strengths: Nickel plating treatment for the entire frame and with no paint on rear triangle to eliminate chain rubbing the frame and scratching the paint.

WorkmanshipWeaknesses: On stock bike most people didn't like the saddle.Bottom Line: I wanted a steel frame bike and spent about 10 months doing research all over the net. I have tried several bikes listed below, but Prodigy was my final choice. I was very impressed with high end material selection for this bike - Columbus Thermacrom for Main triangle and Nivacrom for Rear triangle. But I was even more impressed with work done on tubing itself. The down tube is bi-ovalized throughout the entire length to provide vertical compliance and the BB stiffness at the same time. The ride is very smooth, especially when comparing to Aluminum Hybrid that I used to ride before. The frame is very light – 3.6 lbs for 55 cm frame and the total bike weight came to 18.5 lbs without the pedals. The bike is very responsive in handling, quick in acceleration and very good in hills. I bought the frame/fork combo, which also included very nice “cervelo” brand carbon seatpost and LBS built it with Campy Chorus. The reason for building from frame up was the fact that Cervelo uses their own brand brake calipers to keep the price where it is. Bicycling magazine had reviewed Cervelo Solo that uses the same brake calipers. They felt that they are not as good as Shimano 105. I also wanted to pick my own seat, stem and handlebar. Very glad with my choice of building from the frame up as I love Campy 10-speed double and Ergo shifters. However, I would also be happy just buying the complete Prodigy, as this is such a great bike. I think, Prodigy is a sleeper, and that’s what keeping the price down. Similar frames by Gunnar, Landshark, Colnago cost a lot more.
