Proton wheels. German crome-plated brrring bell. Polymer-coated playing cards in spokes. Handle bar tastles - black. Summary: Columbus Airplane with Columbus Muscle carbon fiber seat/chain stays and fork. Spectacular welds. Every Ounce of power from the cranks goes directly to the wheels and the road.
The price: quite a deal from a long-time seller on EBay in Michigan.
The angles on the frame exude classic Italian craftsmanship...long top tube and slightly relaxed seat tube. A climber's dream.
It's possible the company had gone out of business. If you can get your hands on one at a reasonable price, I suggest you don't think twice. Strengths: see above Weaknesses: Like many frames with aluminum tubes, the bottom bracket creaks a bit when I get out of the saddle and stand on the cranks. Similar Products Used: Previous rides: Big Wheel, 1976. Olmo w/Columbus steel, 1988. Brief stint on steel Basso, Caly, 2003 Spring - caused purchase.
