Summary: Fantastic bike. Smooth, stiff & fast.
Strengths: Very stiff & efficient for pedaling, very compliant vertically so it VERY comfortable and very light - 17.1 pounds w/o pedals. Perfect for bigger, stronger riders who want performance and comfort.
Having just come off of a Slim Chance I completly disagree with the previous review. This bike is more comfortable than steel - and the Slim was very comfortable - and also goes like a rocket when you add power. Just did a 90 mile ride this weekend that I have done numerous times on the Slim. When it was done I was amazed at how good my body felt compared to previous rides on the Slim. You won't get this bike down to 16 lbs, but for a bigger guy the comfort and strength of this frame are well worth a little extra weight.
Weaknesses: None.

Summary: I previously had owned two steel bikes before the Merckx and let me tell you, it's stiff. Pro, great acceleration in and out of the saddle. Con, the ride on the Millenium is bone jarring. Not designed for touring or comfort. This frame is made to race. As I don't race anymore, I'm kinda missing the old Reynolds 853.
Strengths: Stiff! Moves out like a scalded dog.
Weaknesses: Stiff! "And I dub thee unforgiving"

Summary: 56cm.by 56cm. with a very relaxed seat tube angle . This works perfectly for me. Most of todays' road bikes are just way too long for me,but this bikes' geometry is perfectly suited to those of us who have long legs and a short torso.
The bike is not even close to being as light as my Quattro Assi or my Trek 5500, but it feels perfect when ridden hard out on the road.
The steering is precise and responsive ,without understeer or oversteer. The bottom bracket is held in perfect location by the massive 6/4 downtube. No chainrub . No tail wag .
Every ounce of physical effort is squeezed into the rear hub without hesitation.
The bike sprints well while keeping the rear tire firmly planted to the road for maximum traction and control . Some carbon bikes that I've owned exhibit a sort of "rear wheel hop" or "skipping" under hard out of the saddle effort.
This Ti bike does everything exceptionally well.
It descends with confidence and stability.
It climbs with super efficiency.
It sprints really well.
It dampens high frequency "buzz" ,thus providing the rider with a very smooth ride for long races or epic tours.
It isn't the bike for everyone.
It is perfect for those of us who can fit well to the bikes' geometry.
I purchased the frameset at a sale price of $1500(list is around$2200 frame only),but I believe that a good frame is still a good frame at any price.
I give it a high value rating in spite of the high list price because in this case you get what you pay for.
Strengths: Smooth ride.
Euro geometry.
Great road manners at any speed.
Beautiful framework by Litespeed.Great welds and tubing.
Eddy's name. (He only places it on the very best ones)
Weaknesses: The frame could be much lighter.
But it still rocks.

Bike Setup: Full DA group, Thomson post, flite TT saddle, Deda bar/stem, 32 h mavic wheels, Vredestein tires, speedplay pedals, Tacx cages.
Summary: First ti road bike after several custom steel frames and a couple of AL. 61 cm frame,built up with Dure Ace STI, 32 spoke mavic wheels,Ouzo pro fork. Built up to 19+ lbs even with lightweight parts! Outweighed my last steel bike by at least 1 lb. Nice and stiff ride, though - also pretty stable. Decal on down tube was like a cheap bumper sticker and flaked away from regular bike cleaning - stick-on panel stickers, especially cheap ones, are not acceptable on a bike at this price range. Top tube seems a bit short for frame size, and headtube is longer than my shin bone!
I really wished I'd have seen the frame in person before buying -
Strengths: Stiff as aluminum, will last forever, stable handling, no corrosion.
Weaknesses: Cheap down tube sticker, WEIGHT, PRICE!!!
Headtube is crazy-long (but that's jut my preference for long/low bikes)

Bike Setup: DuraAce, Velomax Cicuit Comp wheels, Look pedals, Thomson stem, Gel Flite seat.
Summary: Fine riding bike. Dura ace components are smooth like usual. The workmanship is about as good as you can get. The 6/4 downtube keeps the bottom bracket nice and tight during sprints, no chain rub. no skips. You pedal fast you go fast. The "century" geometry is perfect for the kind of riding I do. I bought the bike on sale at Colorado Cyclist and have to say they're a good outfit to deal with.
Strengths: Workmanship, geometry, material.
Weaknesses: Price at retail.
