Product Description

Pegoretti CCKMP - Using Dedacciai U2 tithium alloy, the CCKMP is jaw-dropping lightweight (2.6 lbs.). The CCKMP frame's main and rear triangle feature rounded tubing which adds lateral strength and resistance to torsion. The oversized chainstay design gives additional strength to the frame which enhances the efficiency of power transfer making this frame perfect for climbing and sprinting. Pegoretti has clearly created one of the lightest and strongest road frames available. Equipped with a full carbon fork, you will absolutely love the ride. It's no wonder that serious cyclists are choosing the CCKMP as their bike for the 2002 season.

Strengths:    Climbing, craftsmanship, frame weight, aesthetic appeal.

    Weaknesses:    None

    Bottom Line:
OK, I've only owned this bike for about 6 months, but I've managed to log quite a few miles already. This bike is nothing less than spectacular, so I'm compelled to write a review, as nobody else has yet.

To contextualize my comments, I raced road and track bikes years ago. Now, after nearly a decade of riding more mountain than road, I decided to re-focus my riding and purchased my dream italian bike.

The CCKMP frame is unbelievably light and stiff, yet I have been perfectly comfortable on a number of 50 - 80 mile rides here in the Rockies. The carbon mizuno fork dampens well without sacrificing the bike's responsiveness.

Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the way the CCKMP climbs. This bike uses energy extremely efficiently. The Pegoretti geometry is distinctly italian; however, on descents, the bike feels less "jumpy" than other italian frames I've ridden.

Also of note is the fine craftsmanship of Pegoretti, from perfect welds that captivate they eye to the understated, engaging paint job, to the unparalleled U2 tubing, this is truly a masterpiece. I really appreciate that each frame is unique, not a mass-produced amalgamation like other bikes I've owned.

In summary, I look forward to every ride I take on the CCKMP. This bike has increased the amount of time I'm riding, and my overall passion for the sport. I would highly recommend this bike.
