Price Paid:  $2800.00 at Big Shark

Favorite Ride:
"Clubbers" Tuesday Night ride

Bike Setup:
Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork, King headset, Dur-Ace/Ultegra mix, Speedplay X/2 pedals, Shimano 7700 wheels

Summary:
This is custom 55cm-faster head tube, slacker seat tube, longer top tube, and oversized stays as compared to stock. Built up with custom kit of Dura-Ace and Ultegra componets. Red "wet paint" and smooth one-pass welds.

Strengths:
Eye-catching red paint. Exacting decal placement. Pretty welds. Compact design is stylish. 8cm BB drop lends stability and inspires confidence when descending and cornering. 1 1/8 head tube is long for better height for threadless stems-This eliminates unsightly rows of spacers and severly angled stems. Also gives great support for carbon steerer forks. Retains typical Ti comfy ride. The Peloton rides nice and works with me, unlike my Cannondale CAAD5. Has much of the ride quality of Serotta's top Ti bikes with all of the performance.

Weaknesses:
None with how the bike performs!
However, the Pelotons simple tubeset is a stark contrast to the beautiful Concours or especially, the Legend.
Serotta's stock bikes seem made for the 40-50 year old club rider. For instance, those real small diameter chainstays. Once you realize this, it is no problem for the racer to utilize the no charge custom option to turn these innocuous bikes into weapons of mass destruction. Pricy- thank goodness for the Big Shark racing team discount! Join a club or team and save lots of money.
