Price Paid:  $0.00 at Cyclesport, NJ

Favorite Ride:
anywhere

Bike Setup:
Record, various clinchers/tubulars to suit the ride/mood.

Summary:
Looking at the tube set, i can't explain where he gets the super smooth ride, but I find myself aiming for bumps because i'm so amazed.
A 52cm frame with Reynolds Ouzo-pro and Chris King HS weighs 4lbs, 2oz.-not bad
This bike has enough snap when standing/climbing that the responsive feeling becomes a novelty; climb just to feel it squirt up the hill.

Strengths:
Worth the money

Weaknesses:
a lot of money

Similar Products Used:
lots of Italians (both Derosa's are keepers), a Cannondale(ouch). A Merlin.

Price Paid:  $3800.00 at Toms Atlantic cycler

Favorite Ride:
Lebanon 52, N.J.

Bike Setup:
Shimano dura ace throughout, Bontrager race light wheels,Deda handlebars, San marco saddle, Polar S710 and power option

Summary:
I stand 6'8" so i have issues. My bike, at 66cm, exibits a tendency to wobble if i unweight the front wheel. After a hard effort I like to sit up and hold the handle bars lightly.Doing this causes the front wheel to wobble. It feels like I'm holding a gyroscope.
Other than that the bike is great. If i could have test ridden the bike before purchase i would have looked elsewhere

Strengths:
strength of the steel frame

Weaknesses:
wobble when front wheel unweighted

Similar Products Used:
Cannondale R700

Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
dura ace brakes and drive train, mavic open pro wheels, phil wood bottom bracket, stronglight headse

Summary:
The CIII offers a superior ride. The frame absorbs vibration while having a great deal of stiffness in the bottom bracket. Balance and handling are excellent. I can ride in circles hands-off with no fear of falling. The welds and paint are flawless. I wish that I had bought a Serotta years before.

Strengths:
the look and feel of this machine are exceptional.

Weaknesses:
makes me want to collect serottas.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Cyclesport, NJ

Bike Setup:
Full Ultegra, Mavic Cosmic Elite (soon to be Ksyrium SSL), Deda bars, Thomson Elite, Look 396.

Summary:
Awesomely smooth ride but stiff enough to handle any acceleration I can muster. Even with the 'mid-level' Kestrel fork handling is superb. At 45mph the bike is ready for more - but my nerves are not. I had a hard time paying more than $3,000 for a bike but I'm happy I did.

Strengths:
Build quality, compliant ride, perfect fit.

Weaknesses:
None.

Price Paid:  $4100.00 at Chainwheel Drive in

Favorite Ride:
Assault on Marion, and the Saluda bakery ride

Bike Setup:
F1 carbon fiber fork, Shimano Ultegra shifters, Triple chainring, FlightDeck, Look pedals and Mavic

Summary:
Leaving the flatlands of Florida to the hills of North and South Carolina, I was looking for a bike the would help me attack the uphills and fly downhill. I'm a 56 year old female and needed all the advantages I could get. My Coloroda 111 is absolutely awesome. I like the strength of steel, awesome handling, incredible acceleration, and stability in descending (even at 45mph). I raced my first triathlon last week, and Colorado 111 was fast, responsive, powerful and came out a winner.
I am deeply grateful and thankful for finding a professional Serotta manager , Tony Prioli who spent as much time as I needed to find me the correct bike. I'm a time trialist, road racer, and triathlete. Tony made sure the bike was a perfect fit.

Strengths:
It is light, powerful, comfortable, stable downhill, awesome handling and incredible acceleration. I love my FlightDeck computer. The competition red/yellow color makes me feel sleek and fast.

Weaknesses:
Maybe the cost, but you get what you pay for. Besides, my wonderful husband bought it for me. He rides a titanium Serotta and wanted me to be as fast and satisfied as he is.

Similar Products Used:
My Softride Powerwing can't hold a candle to my Serotta. There is no comparison, especially in the hills!
