Strengths:    Ahhh... comfortable. Ass, back, no bumps, corners like a mad race car.

Weaknesses:    Need the right fit.

Bottom Line:
This bike took a bit of time to get used to. I was fit wrong- too forward for my weight- (clydesdale) and damaged my ulnar nerve, leading to a month of not being able to use my left hand. However, thanks to a Eric Heiden (go see him in Sacramento if you have any orthopedic issues). Anyway, a refit made my bike fit like a glove, or rather a bed. I'll I can say is ahhhhh.... Comfortable. I will say that I'm very fast in the flats and in a sprint but no one will ever mistake me for a climber so if there is a little extra weight, I don't notice it. As a practical matter, if you do long training rides, think about this bike. Oh, and it makes you a better rider as well. If you don't have good technique, you bounce. Thus, you quickly rid yourself of bad habits with translates into being a better cyclist, whether you go back to a regular frame or stick with a beam bike. But, ultimately, its a great, comfortable bike. BTW, the $2,500 was in 2000 plus training wheels.

Strengths:    The unique Softride carbon suspension top tube that soaks up all the road bumps.

Weaknesses:    On the heavy side and not for hill climbing. Had to change to triple for my favorite rides to catch up other guys on hills.

Bottom Line:
Very comforable ride. The only vibration I feel on a bumpy road is from the handle bar.
