Favorite Ride:

This is my first road bike, although I tried some others. This is the best I've ridden. Light, fast, and surprisingly stiff. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Strengths:
super fast and light. Good ride for aluminum frame. ultegra.

Weaknesses:
weak saddle. 105 front derailleur

Price Paid:  $1200.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
All of them.

Bike Setup:
Stock

Summary:
This is a great bike for the price (especially on an end of year close out).

I rode the following bikes: Binachi Giro, Klein Quantum, Cannondale R900 & R600, Lemond Zurich, and the 2200T felt faster and more comfortable. The R900 was a very close runner up.

I also rode a Trek 2300 which was the best of the bunch but couldn't find a leftover in my size.

I was very impressed how well this bike soaks up rought roads.

Strengths:
Bike fit, ride and stiffness.

Weaknesses:
Having some trouble dialing in the front derailleur. The mechanic fiddled with it for quite some time. It's better but it still rubs and has some issues shifting.

Price Paid:  $1430.00 at missing link, berkel

Favorite Ride:
this one

Bike Setup:
speedplay frog pedals, ultegra with 105
brakes and frt derailer, stock seat for
now.

Summary:
Comparing a few of the more common bikes in this price range
(Lemond B.A., Bianchi Vigorelli, others), this is one nice ride. It is
nearly 1 to 2 lbs lighter than many of the other steel frames that are
full ultegra equipped. I was worried about the stiffness, but the frame
is surprisingly forgiving. The more I ride, the more I like the bike.

Strengths:
quick, light response and feel. better than typical oclv
carbon fork, decent bontrager select wheels.

Weaknesses:
low quality stock seat and pedals. dont
care much for icon graphite carbon stem.

Price Paid:  $1450.00 at Kissler's Cyclery

Favorite Ride:
Anywhere in Oregon

Bike Setup:
Ultegra with upgraded Ultegra chainring and cranks. Botrager carbon seatpost. Kobe seat. ProStryke 2

Summary:
The 2200 is quick and much more comfortable than other aluminums I've ridden. Suprisingly good up hills and well behaved down them, as well. A very, very good training bike for the price.

Strengths:
Value - esp with Ultegra shifters and rear derailleur. Stiff and light.

Weaknesses:
Seat is so-so. I swapped out the Bontrager tires for Michelins and more grip in the Oregon wet. Cheapy Shimano pedals (get store credit and put on some better ones).

Price Paid:  $1500.00 at Full Cycle of Arizon

Favorite Ride:
Tucson Foothills

Bike Setup:
Stock except for seat and stem

Summary:
I bought this bike after doing side by side test rides with similar bikes in the same price range. I was convinced that the 2200 gave me the most bike for my money. I have used this bike on a few time trials as well as local races. The Alpha SL aluminum frame offers a ride that is very smooth. This is only accented by the OCLV carbon fork. Makes the miles melt away.

Strengths:
Almost all Ultegra components for $1500? WOW! How could you go wrong? Smooth shifting. Precise handling. Very quick acceleration.

Weaknesses:
Saddle, it would be worth your effort to replace/trade it with your LBS at the time of sale.
