Strengths: Rides very smoothly and is easy to control. Extremely versatile and able to handle any terrain. Beautiful workmanship coupled with an elegant paint job and nice components.
Weaknesses: It is not the lightest tandem frame out there. As with all tandems, difficult to transport. Expensive.
Bottom Line:
This tandem, as the description says....is very versatile and can basically do anything. Throw on some nice road slicks and you can fly along the pavement.....put on some mtb rubber and all of a sudden you have an aggressive trail eating monster. Ride is very smooth and predictable...very comfortable to ride for the captain and relatively comfortable for the stoker with the included tamer shockpost. I don't know if it's the ovalized boom tube or what, but this bike has a very comfortable ride for an aluminum tandem but it retains the stiffness required to transfer the powers directly from the cranks to the wheels.
