$0.00 Bike Setup: triathlon geometry, Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork, Kris King headset, bar end shifting- 9 speed Dura Ace, Summary: i loooveeee this bike. I've ridden it in races ranging from the F1 supersprint series in Australia to a half ironman in Mexico. In every race it just begs to go fast.
I've changed the set up of the bike to accomodate drafting and non-drafting races, and find both setups exceptionally comfortable. I am quite low on my aerobars, and people are often surprised to see that I can sustain it for a long time. The only explanation is that its extremely comfortable, and amazingly fast. My weight is distributed well between my saddle and my bars, so there are no extreme pressure points, no sore elbows or tight traps. The bike handles well on descents that even my fear factor doesn't handle as well. This is saying a lot for a triathlon geometry bike! My position over the bottom bracket and the stifness of the bike also mean that I feel like every pedal stroke propels me forward. I get rewarded for all the effort I put into the bike. I'm sure the aero design of the downtube, seatpost and seat tube play a part.
I am extremely happy with this bike, and I look forward to the chances to train and race on it, which are shared by my other steed of speed, the Cervelo One. Strengths: appearance- very flashy looking, people remember it.
-very stiff, no power lost on bike.
-unparalleled aerodynamics. compared to Cervelo everyone else is going backwards. Weaknesses: the colour yellow- difficult to keep looking clean, which is a good sign 'cause it means i love to ride it Similar Products Used: the Cervelo One, Eyre tri, Merlin Arial Extralite
