Strengths: compliant Ti frame..never needs paint...will never rust
Weaknesses: Tried to put a Panaracer 700-45 tire on the rear...didn't quite make it..but that tire is the biggest cross tire I have ever seen.
Bottom Line:
I had a Cannondale Ultra..with the head shock. Which was nice...but it was still an aluminum frame (jarring). And the shock raised the head angle and the bottom bracket considerably. So I sold it and got a nice compliant Carpe Diem with an Alpha Q carbon fork. What a diference in ride quality. This bike just floats over the trails where the Cannondale would sort of barrel through them. I can't wait to race cross on this frame this winter. I also slapped a white brothers suspension post on her. So basically I moved the suspension from the front of the bike (head shock) to the rear with the suspension post. I love this bike...it does it all. PLan on putting a disc brake on the rear..the frame has disc tabs!!!
