at LifeCycle bicycles Favorite Ride: EPX MAKO Bike Setup: Front suspention. Front and rear disc brakes. Summary: I bought this bike used. I is in MINT condition. I rode it about six times. I think for the money I paid it was a great investment purchase. This bike has an internal 3 speed rear axel on top of a 9 gear cog set. Making this a 27 speeds bike. It is simple when it shifts without any chain trouble. The 3 speed shift time is spontanious, without delay.
This bike is tall geared. This is great for the steep downhill runs. You can really reach high speeds with this bike. And the breaking system is extremely efficient. However the handles are opposite of USA standard. Right handle operates the front brake. You had better get used to this quickly. Or there could be trouble ahead. This bike is smooth riding front suspention. Strengths: Spontanious no delay shifting. Powerful disk breaking ability. Lightweight frame. Beautiful frame construction. Bike is front heavy which is great for downhill steadiness. Weaknesses: Breakdown repair costs will be high, due to state of the art components. Frame is difficult to get balanced in wheelie. Bike is front heavy. Similar Products Used: Specialized Hardrock hard tail. Trek Y3 full suspention.
