a Commuter
from Date Reviewed: December 23, 2003
Strengths: Super-comfortable ride, disc brakes, and fun besides.Weaknesses: The tires! Two blow-outs right off, and when I changed the tires, I found a number of slices in the them that hadn't yet collapsed the tubes.Bottom Line: I take the bike to and from work and love it more everyday. It keeps you in a nice upright position, has a smoooooooooth ride, the front shock and the seat post taking all the vibration from wrists and bum, and works well as a commuter without the price of some of the commuter bikes I've seen. I'm more than happy with the drive train, but I don't push it for performance. I just like to enjoy the ride.
Favorite Ride: I use the bike for commuting.
Price Paid:
$430.00
Purchased At: Family Bike/East Lon
Similar Products Used: I had been riding my Giant Rincon.
Bike Setup: Stock except that I dumped the tires. Slime anti-puncture, forget that. Two blow-outs in my first two weeks with the bike. The idea of filling your tires with goo and garbage is ridiculous. I switched to Geax Evolutions.
