Airborne’s new 2004 X-1 is no different, rocket fast, but with our aerospace grade 3Al/2.5V titanium the ride is exceptional smooth. The X-1 takes the next step in our multi-sport and time trial evolution; cold worked aerodynamically enhanced tubing throughout, rear wheel cutout, adjustable two-axis design horizontal dropouts, and Internal cable routing. The X-1 is available in both 650c and 700c wheel configurations as well as custom geometry.
Strengths: Aero Ti frame, stiff, light, smooth ride
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a Titanium Tri bike, this is the one! This bike lets me go as fast as I want and is always ready for more. In my opinion, you can not buy a better Ti Tri bike for the money. I love the frame setup and outfitted with Ultegra, this is one sweet ride. I will write more as I continue to ride and race this excellent bike.
