Finish Durability
ValueWeaknesses: Firm Ride - If you're a tender bottomed poseur or 'comfort cruiser', this bike is not for you.Bottom Line: This frameset is frighteningly lightweight yet amazingly stiff, durable, and responsive. I built mine from a frame/fork, and the complete setup checks in at a scant 15.6 lbs (~7.1kg). When you're rolling in the flats, the machine responds instantly to your every thought, yet feels very secure at speed and in descents. It's absolutely fabulous for the hilly country. When combined with a very light wheelset (e.g. Hyperons) and components, it accelerates like nobody's business and when you get to the hills, you'll drop others like a bad habit. It transmits quite a lot of road feel despite the carbon fork, and a carbon seat post and comfortable saddle are recommended. Invest in a quality ($) set of shorts/bibs as well if you're going to make longer distance rides (e.g. 100 miles). You can easily spend more on a more exotic frameset and get less performance, so the EV4 is akin to a Ferrari for the price of a Lexus.

Strengths: Weight, handling, rigidity. Looks.Weaknesses: Won't accept Campy Hiddenset; nit-picking, but ALL Campy would be nice.Bottom Line: This is a truly awesome frame. Very light weight, but maintains stiffness. Shorter wheelbase makes it handle very fast and respond like a well paid butler. Fork is one of the lighter full carbons out there. All around great frame, light, stiff, responsive and fast. Looks super stealth in black w/ grey. Pricey, but if you want the best you have to pay.
