Strengths:    Great light frame, paint finish, price, good geometry.

Weaknesses:    Where to start? The end heavy Ritchey wheels are total junk. The conti tires are heavy wire beads, Wellgo pedals weigh a ton, heavy aluminum fork,Tiagra grouppo (although the shifting was not bad at all). They should have at least added a cheap aluminum steerer carbon fork.

Bottom Line:
This was the my first and only road bike. It looks trick after you ditch all the compenents it came with. The frame is the best part of this bike. It is very stiff but light for the price. This is a good entry level racer for someone who may not be sure they want to get real serious or not about riding. If they don't like it they didn't spend too much. If they do it a good platform to upgrade. After adding carbon fork and seatpost his is a very light bike.

Strengths:    Versatile design good for both sprints and climbs. Old school basic road bike.

Weaknesses:    Components could be better. Tiagra group is a little sloppy. Ritchey rims are junk!

Bottom Line:
This bike was not the great deal I thought it would be. The ritchey wheels that came with the bike had a bad habit of breaking spokes on every other ride. Fuji replaced the rims twice, the last time with a pair of Alexis wheels. I like the way this bike handles both sprints and climbs. Its a solid entry level road bike except for the ritchey rims.

Strengths:    No problems with the tiagra components.
weight and smoothness are way better than other models in same price range.

Weaknesses:    obviously, after checking out higher priced models just to feel them, it could be a little smoother. i'll get the upgrades later.

Bottom Line:
after deciding to buy a road bike with my wife and deciding on a component range (tiagra), I saw the Newest in bicycling magazine's 2004 buyer's guide and called around. britton's had a 2003 and said it was lighter than last year's model and had better wheels, it just didn't have the carbon fork. when I test rode it, it was faster and smoother than other bikes I had tried, some even with carbon forks (and seatposts). I haven't had any problems with the components at all. so far so good! and with the $ I saved, I can always add a good fork and seatpost later.

Strengths:    Great Deal, a definite buy for anyone looking to start riding. great allaround bike. awesome cusomer service

Weaknesses:    would suggest new wheels (mavic open pros with dura-ace) and having the bike checked out for any damages/defects that occured during shipping

Bottom Line:
I got this bike as a high school graduation present and it is my first road bike ever... Within a week of riding the rear derailer was shifting on its own. at first i assumed it was a bent/defective derailer but after bringing it in to a bike shop i learned the frame itself was bent(luckily i knew the owner and he did the repair cheap). After about 2 months I decided to try a century(smog to surf) with a low altitude gain. once i hit the 50 mile mark i noticed a broken spoke then another(both on rear wheel), had a mechanic help but one more broke on the last 50. after fixing them within a month 3 more had broken(seperate rides) weighing 155lbs i called fuji and had a new rear wheel sent not charge great customer service. since then bike has been fine, just needed to work out the kinks i guess.
