Strengths: paint job is nice, pretty light and responsive, no wobbles in a 58cm frameWeaknesses: I replaced the seat for something comfy (and heavier). Ritchey freehub crapped out with crunching noises after 1000km and was replaced under warranty by Ritchey distrubutor in Australia. Took three weeks or so to turnaround though. Now I have the BB clicking noise that another reviewer reported and may be looking for a warranty replacement on that too. We'll see. Wish distributor was faster as I don't want a month turnaround on warranty issues.Bottom Line: I've liked the bike a lot, comfy, smooth, rigid and quite an improvement on the twenty year old De Rosa that it replaced. Had some problems with the Ritchey bits though.

Strengths: Drive Train - Ultegra
Light Weight
Great Paint
Only company where one can purchase a 64 cm frame - glad it's a company like Fuji - their bikes are greatWeaknesses: I had a defective rear wheel (made by Ritchey) that was quickly replaced by Fuji (at a bike shop where I DID NOT purchase the bike.)
I had to have the bottom bracket replaced due to being noisy(clicking sound-great warrenty response once again)Bottom Line: I am very pleased with this bike. I have logged nearly 5,000 miles since I purchased the bike in May 2003. The bike is light, responsive, and handles wonderfully. I have had many positive comments about the paint scheme. I am on my third set of tires. I rode a pair of Michelins down to the tube.

Strengths: Bike was great before it broke, although the 64cm size did have some front end shimmy when I took my hands off the bars. I really did like the bike, and would have purchased a new frame if someone had wanted to sell me one!Weaknesses: Aluminum frames are TOAST if something happens to them. I'm looking at a 65cm Colnago Classic (steel) I think that when a manufacturer posts email addresses to customers for feedback, they should have the courtesy to respond.Bottom Line: This review is a follow up to my previous review of a 64cm 2003 Fuji Team
My small chainring buckled after a bolt failed on my crank putting a serious dent in the back of the frame. Two different bike shops recommended that I mosdef replace the frame. I would have loved to just replace the frame, but I never got any responses to any of my emails to Fuji. I think that the bike component failure was at least worth discussing w/ the warranty department at Fuji. NO RESPONSE

Strengths: weight
component
VALUEWeaknesses: It was not freeBottom Line: I dont know how many times I visited this site to help me with my decision to purchase a bike. The reviews I found for the Fuji team were very complimentary and after purchasing the bike and ridden over 100 miles I must say the bike deserves the kudos. There are so many bike options that as a new comer I was unsure were to invest my money. I would say I am very pleased with my decision. Surely there are nuonces I am unaware of that could be inproved upon in a $5,000 bike, or at least I hope, but for someone putting a 100 miles or so a week on the bike you could not do better. Good luck.

Strengths: Weight, parts spec, smooth ride, snappy handling.Weaknesses: Color scheme is a bit over the top (red/white/blue) for some. However, I like it...Bottom Line: This is a fantastic ride!
For starters, this bike is *very* light (16.6 lbs for the 54cm bike). The frame is responsive, and strong -- no flex that I can determine, even when hammering up hills. For an aluminum bike this is a sweet ride -- soooo smooth. I have ridden other aluminum road bikes that are very harsh, but for some reason this bike has a very nice ride. Even rough asphalt is smoothed out nicely by the bike. And the handling is top notch.
The parts spec is phenomenal -- full carbon fork (even the steer tube!), full Ultegra drivetrain, Ritchey Pro aero wheels (very nice), Ritchey Pro cockpit (bars, stem, seatpost), Ritchey Pro crankset, and a titanium seat.
If you are in the market for a high end road bike and do not want to break the bank, then get an '03 Fuji Team (if there are any left). You will not be dissapointed. Even others who ride the high zoot Calfee's and Obrea's are impressed with this bike.
