Strengths: Very stiff, light, smooth riding, very responsive and the bike is uncommon.Weaknesses: When Wrench Science put my bike together they stripped the binder bolt threads. Called Kestrel and they sent out a bolt but it took them over two weeks. I guess customer service is a little weak at Kestrel.Bottom Line: I would like to say first off I like carbon bikes. My other bicycle is a 02 Trek 5200. Comparing the two bikes the Kestrel Talon has shorter chain stays therefore is a bit more responsive. On decents you really have to be attentive and pick your line and go for it. This to me is not a negative but a characteristic of the bike. The bike rides smoother than the Trek 5200 which I would not believe before owning the Talon. The bicycle is a little lighter too. It comes in at exactly 16 lbs. The bike is very stiff as well. I do not detect any frame flex at all when I am out of the saddle and climbing. Also the Kestrel attracts attention wherever we go. The bicycle exhibits quality throughout.
Favorite Ride: Any ride with a tail wind
