Strengths:    Power transfer, the smooth ride. The Ultegra group and race lite wheels are great. It also weighs in at only 18lbs with cages, pedals, and computer.

Weaknesses:    I would like a carbon seat post. The seat was changed out after the second ride.

Bottom Line:
I have been looking for a nice road bike that I could ride for a long time. The other bikes I have tried all seemed uncomfortable after 5-10 miles. I love the way this bike tranfers the power to the road but with the carbon seat stays and fork it is still very smooth. The Klein finish is very nice also.

Strengths:    Nice beefy frame that is very light. Good racing geometry.

Weaknesses:    Custom fork/headset combination sucks. Bottom bearing is finicky to locktite in just right to keep it from knocking while breaking or accelerating. Bottom bearing also degrades quickly and steering is no longer smooth (don't try riding no hands). Why Cane Creek? Who knows. But you don't have a choice to buy another brand. Did I mention the headset sucks?

Rode it for one year and the right rear carbon seat stay bonding broke down and it started slipping into the aluminum drop out. I'm waiting for a frame replacement now. Hopefully they've changed that damn headset.

Bottom Line:
Nice handling, feels stable and predictable yet nimble. Headset sucks.

Strengths:    The ride, you just feel that every stoke of the pedal goes into moving the bike forward. Quality of workmanship on the frame, and paint. Ride comfort! Weight!

Weaknesses:    None so far, and none that i could find in researching this bike for 6 months.

Bottom Line:
Those before me have done the work, now it's my turn. If you are here you must be considering this bike. If you are, buy it, you wont be sorry. Around a really busy work schedule (time of year) I have gotten in 6 rides in 11 days and approximately 300 miles. I picked the bike up Sept 25. My first ride out of the bike shop parking lot was a nice little 40 mile shake down. I only came back becasue the shop was closing. From the original set-up when the bike was being assembled and in the trainer we have made one slight adjust to the handlebar and that has been it. This bike is unbelivable. I came off a steel Lemond Zurich, a bike that well served its purpose, but this bike, how it feels and how it rides and how it looks is in a class of its own. I reseraced this bike for over 6 months talking to everyone on the net and the road and shops and rides i could find. I was concerned about hearing the same old same old of aluminum and being harsh and so on. Not with this bike. I was fortunate enough to test ride one for an hour along with a Trek 5200, and then back on the Klein for another 30 minutes. For me the 5200 just did not have the same feel as the KLEIN Q PRO CARBON. But an hour and a half test ride and the commitment to buy one and ride one daily was a real struggle, so i studied and studied and when i was satisified I had all the info i needed the shop order the bike in early September. We basically did a project one, for the 2003 run of production bikes was done. I went with the stock Q PRO CARBON paint of tahoe frost silver, then played around with a lot of differen color schemes to set the bike up with. When the shop called and told me to come on in to set it up and I saw it on the rack, it truly looked nicer than what i ever imagined. It draws lots of attention. Big thanks to Stuart at Bethany Cycle and Fitness, who patiently worked with me on this project for well over 6 months. And thanks to Tommy the shop wrench for all his help.
Check these guys out at Bethany Cycle and Fitness in Bethany Beach DE.

THanks to all the road bike review.com people who sahred soooooooooooo much info with me. I tried to contact everyone by email for i did appreciate the info so much and it was a huge help.

Strengths:    - Relatively light and stiff (fast sprinter/climber)
- Great fit and geometry (nuetral cornering)
- Responsive steering (quick but not twitchy)

Weaknesses:    -Tire wear
-Saddle is too cushy for some
-Time will tell on the carbon bonded to Alum. sleeves.

Bottom Line:
The Q-Pro Carbon is an excellent road bike for those riders that enjoy stiff Aluminum frames with some of the road vibration reduced from the carbon stays and fork. This seems to be the trend in the past several years and Klein's Ultegra offering appears better than average. Weighing just a little over 17lbs, combined with the stiffness and the geometry, this bike climbs extremely well and transfers much of the pedal energy into forward motion. Descending and cornering was sharp and confidence inspiring, however the tires seemed to wear faster than usual. This may be due to the softer tread compound combined with the TPI. The paint job, Metallic silver/light blue is subjectively beautiful. I'm curious about the engineering that went into the tube shapes, as they look to be highly manipulated and butted. Are they actually increasing strength/weight ratio or mostly for good looks. The cushy saddle took some getting used to, since I've only used Selle Italia Flight saddles. The surface laminate on the fork looks questionable. No significant problems after one season. We'll see in another year or two. Ultegra components are reliable and crisp. Integrated headset tends to collect dirt around the bottom cup. The chain deflection is pretty tight on this frame requiring precise setup. Pricing is competitive (a bit higher than average) for high end Alum. Ultegra road bikes.

Strengths:    ride quality, attention to detail, value, a pro level frame for thousands less than many competing frames!

Weaknesses:    just the stock tires-although i heard they are made in the conti factory, i have seen a few begin to crack after only a couple hundred miles. others have been great. its really strange.

Bottom Line:
this bike rocks!!!!! i have been working in the bike industry for 6 years and have not seen a bike that gives you the performance for the dollar that this one gives. Climbs like a beast, doesnt rattle your teeth, and handles like its on rails. The parts spec is a great value, and the wheels are much more durable than you would think. as a klein dealer who has seen many bikes come through his store, i can attest to you that the quality control issue that was mentioned in the previous reveiw is a very rare case! every bike ive received has been perfect. its unfortunate that even one bike got out of the factory with a blem. if you want a race ready bike that wont send you to the poorhouse, well, here you go.
