Strengths: Comfort, speed confidence, low price..if you amortize the cost over the life of the bike, as I will probably not buy an other bike. This machine is in a league of its own.
The team at Multi sport bikes said my previous bike ,a KHS Flight 2000, was like a Subaru WRX,whereas the Merlin is like a Porshe.I agree.Weaknesses: None except for initial cost.
My wifes new kitchen will have to wait for another month or 2!Bottom Line: It is difficult to describe the great ride this bike offers.
I am reasonably large for a cyclist at 6'2" and weighing 94kgs so climbing is always a challenge.
I do some long rides with a group of like minded friends most of who ride Lightspeeds or KHS 2000's,and I needed a bike that offered comfort and speed over long distances.
Riding the new Merlin Extralight gives the smoothest ride over harsh New Zealand roads I have ever experienced.
It responds immediatly to power on the pedals and I would not have believed the difference Titanium could have made.
It is a joy to ride.
Warning.Do not test ride as it will spoil you for anything less.
