Strengths: low profile, roomy when it needs to be roomy, compact when it needs to be compact, weather proof, rain cover, quality zippers.Weaknesses: none so farBottom Line: I bought this based on Arkel's reputation and other positive reviews. I have had taller, boxy trunk racks that carry a lot, but sway back and forth, are not rain proof, have small, cheap zippers, and do affect the bike's handling in high crosswinds. The Tailrider solved all these problems. It sits low on the rack so I can open the lid without it hitting the saddle. I especially like how the lid has an expansion bellow increasing it's carrying capacity when you need it, but keeping it low profile when it's empty. The fuzzy part of the velcro on the bag is nice and wide allowing you to secure the straps at what ever angle you want. The rain cover is stashed in a good out-of-the-way location when not in use.
