Bottom Line: I have two Jandd midsize telescoping "mountain" panniers:
http://www.jandd.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=FMP
they are, like all Jannd products, a great quality construction and bombproof - nine years on they still look great and function perfectly (including reflective strips!) - I had them in daily use during law school when I rode in with them loaded up with law books and clothes - I figure if panniers can survive that abuse they are worth their weight in gold... though I rarely use them in commuting to work now, they do come out occassionaly for commuting and touring
the Jandd expedition rack is also a great piece of kit
Price Paid:
$139.00
Purchased At: online from Jandd
Similar Products Used: have experience of a number of other panniers
Bike Setup: for use with this product I use my rigid Stumjumper mtb (holes drilled in frame specially) - I also use the panniers on a custom steel Paul Donohue cyclocross / touring bike
other bikes - Pearson Frankenstein fixed commuter (41x17)
custom steel Dave Lloyd roadie
