The AeroTech Evolution is simply the best hard bike case on the market. Tested by professional teams such as Liquigas Cannondale, Cervelo, Milram, and many more. The AeroTech Evolution is designed to optimize load, safety, comfort and handling. This case can hold virtually and racing bike frame, up to 62cm, as well as carbon frames with integrated seatposts. Security has been improved thanks to the new reinforced TSA locks that ensure your baby will arrive safe and sound! It is the symbol of safety and comfort all in one. Light, yet sturdy, you can be confident that your bike will reach your destination as safely as you.
Strengths: Case is easy to pack, bike hangs in webbing, wheels bolt into case, pipe insulation-like padding included.
Weaknesses: After a couple trips, the case began to show wear. Wheels clog easily, making it difficult to maneuver. BA destroyed the case on the third trip.
This case is completely overrated and not worth the money. BA managed to crack the hard shell on the third trip -- fortunately, my bike was not damaged. Scicon was unwilling to replace/repair the case and insisted that I deal with BA. Their customer service was truly atrocious. The wheels on the case are rubbish and cease to roll after limited use. The molded handles are slippery, making the case hard to carry, e.g. up and down stairs in the tube. I have had no problems with the Team Bike case from Performance Bikes (also known as the Roof Box BandW International Bike Box) which is a fraction of the price. If you travel a lot, the best option is to get a Ritchey Breakaway or a bike with S&S couplings.
