Strengths:    Fairly compact and light, USB rechargeable, wide light dispersion, pretty good, attention grabbing flash pattern IMHO, decent lumens/dollar ratio for a rechargeable

Weaknesses:    Feels cheap and plasticky, weighs 60 grams, NOT 40 grams

Bottom Line:
This is a review for the Lightning Bug 100 USB, which I'm quite certain is the same as the new 120 USB. Niterider may have changed the name after MTBR tested the 100 at over 120 lumens, albeit for the first few minutes only.

Pretty good light to be seen, close to useless as a "to see by" light, as expected for the price. Good, even beam pattern that is quite wide and well dispersed. Good side visibility as well. Unit itself is fairly compact, but larger than what the picture portrays. Feels quite cheap with a thin, hollow shell wrapped around a silicone inner "sock" if you will. Button feel is rather vague, with a fairly bright blue "on" indicator, which I found a bit annoying, especially in darker parts of the ride. There is a nice shroud over the top of the lens so as not to blind you when standing up and pedaling. I was also able to strap the light to one of my helmets (Bell Ghisallo) at a pretty good angle and without too much tension on the silicone strap as well. Didn't work on my Bell Sweep or Volt though. I use this as a back-up light as it packs neatly into my saddle bag. Haven't tested the limits of the battery yet, but has survived plenty of rain.
