Strengths:    Size. Adjustable for various rack tube diameters.

Weaknesses:    Not waterproof

Bottom Line:
I bought these to carry rain gear and warm clothing for a van-supported Colorado high peaks tour and for summer commuting to work. They carry gear well enough. However, they're not waterproof. They leak where the attachment hardware penetrates the pannier material. Luckily, I subscribe to, "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing." All my gear was stored in truly waterproof dry bags inside the panniers, so nothing got wet. I've tried spraying the rivets with flex seal to no avail. I'll probably end up putting a grommet hole in the bottom so rain water at least drains. These were the second pair of Axiom waterproof panniers I bought that leaked in the same place. If you want/need fully waterproof, avoid them. If waterproof is not important, they work well, just remember to engage the locking tab when attaching to your rack. Otherwise, they WILL jettison on a hard bump.
