Strength:

I am the original owner of a 25.5” 1985 Trek 620. I have had this front rack since I bought the bike and a complete set of Eclipse panniers for a transcontinental tour. It has remained on the bike ever since for countless other tours. IMO they are the best off-the-shelf front low rider racks you can find. These require the front fork to have “through type” braze-ons for mounting. Properly mounted, the CL-1 is like an integrated extension of the fork. It provides a rigid & secure attachment for the front panniers. The location results in a very stable ride with heavy loads.

Weakness:

Hard to find, requires front forks designed for them.

Strength:

small. It may be able to carry the weight of a hat at best.

Weakness:

The fixings are rubbish. The rack moves with any kind of wait applied to it. The design is very poor and cannot be fitted, probably, if you have 1. Quick release wheels or 2. if you have mudguards.

A product not worth buying. very poor quality and mine will be going back ASAP.
