Strengths: Well-designed, well-built, solid, easy to useWeaknesses: None yetBottom Line: This is a great product. I tried using a Velomann repair stand prior to this (also sold by the MEC), which was truly a piece of junk. The Ultimate is simple, smooth, solid and reliable. Don't waste your money on anything else.

Strengths: see aboveWeaknesses: Perhaps I'm dreaming, but I wish it were manufactured in the good old U.S. of A!!Bottom Line: Great Work stand. Very well finished with smooth operating hardware. Light in weight for portability, nice wide footprint, excellent clamping mechanism. This is exactly what it's named; a great consumer work stand. You won't be disappointed.

Strengths: Great design. Folds up compact. Nice clamp system. Durable. Used mine alot for two years and it is still going strong.Weaknesses: Sometimes a little unstable if a heavy bike or up high.Bottom Line: I shopped around for a good workstand, and being tall (6'5") I wanted one that had adjustable height.
Overall I like the design, and the folding nature of the stand makes storage a breeze. I have had this for two years, and since that time see most of the other companies with similar design.
The clamp is excellent, and with height adjustment allows you to work in almost any position.
The only negative is that a large or heavy bike requires you to make sure the tripod is oriented right, else it feels like it could tip. (but has never happened).
You can buy it much cheaper than I paid, but I still think it is a great value. Love Park tools, but you have to buy at least a mid level stand to get the same functionality as the Ultimate.

Strengths: Bang for the buck. More or less the same features as the BRS-80 but not as crappy as the BRS-50.Weaknesses: None encountered so far.Bottom Line: Great stand for the price... was originally looking at the BRS-80 but couldnt justify the price difference since i dont work on my bikes everyday. I like the clamp design as well.

- Fairly stableWeaknesses: - Chipped the finish dropping a wrench on it.
- Need to watch the orienation of the legs to ensure max stability when apply torque to bike.Bottom Line: Picked up this stand to use in my home-based bike shop. Fairly stable, excellent height adjustability, and decent clamping. It allows the bike to be rotated to a good working position which I found made common repairs much faster and easier than a floor based, rear-wheel holding stand. A very good stand for the price, plus it folds up easily.
Favorite Ride: A smooth road.
