Strengths: strongWeaknesses: Does not center rims other than 130mm spaced wheels. For other spacings, like 100mm front wheels, the uprights shift the wheel off-center due to the uprights changing angles and working against locknuts of varying size and shape. Stand should have been designed with uprights that remain perpendicular to the wheels axle.Bottom Line: Good solid piece of equipment, nearly indestructable. I've used mine 5 years.

Strengths: Seems durable, easy to use, the model the LBS uses.Weaknesses: Needed major adjustment out of the box, needs a $40 centering gauge. Expensive stuff.Bottom Line: Overall, it is a very sturdy truing stand. It is probably the best "consumer/mechanic" model out there, but it is far from perfect. I for the problems mine had, they should have included a centering device rather than charging an extra $40 bucks or so. When I got it out of the box, the calipers were off by nearly 1/2 of a centimeter. I spent a couple hours going through their directions on how to "fix" this, and finally got the calipers fairly well adjusted to my truest wheel.

Strengths: Built to withstand the impact of a scud missle. Adjustments are fine and accurate. Centering jaws, build quality and just about everything about this stand is first rate. Like most other Park tools, it IS the best bar-none.Weaknesses: Stand doesn't come with base. I've used mine without it for 12 years but probably should get one.Bottom Line: The Park TS-2 remains the industry standard truing stand. I've used mine for roughly 12 years and have built dozens of wheels off it. Even though I've gone with some high-end non-spoked wheels, I'm always using the stand to true my trainer wheels, friends wheels and build sets up for other people. If you are in the market for a stand, this is it, don't bother with anything else.

Strengths: Like all the Park tools I own, this one is built like a freaking tank! Can be used in a shop 365 days a year! Easy to use. Accepts lots of sizes of wheels, Fully adjustable and stays adjusted! Durable rust resistant finish will give years of service.Weaknesses: I wish it had a quick way to raise the wheel feelers up and out of the way to save space. Even though it is good at self centering the wheels, it is also handy to have a dishing tool too because I have found that the centering can get outta whack. However, that too is adjustable. It is a bit heavy (so don't drop it on your foot!).Bottom Line: I have had mine for about 15 years. Once you get this you will not need another. Nor will your children or their children. In fact these tools tend to become family heirlooms.
I have built hundreds (maybe more) of wheels. And this is my ONLY truing stand. It is sturdy enough to stress relieve the wheel right in the stand. I have used fancier ones and cheaper ones. The cheaper ones are OK if you only true a wheel now and again. But when the whole dang club lines up and says please... Or if you own a lot of wheels... The fancier ones have dials and such and most mechanics don't use them any way. This is a pro shop grade piece but if you DEPEND on your bike to get around or do your own work this is worth the investment. If the cost bothers you, find a friend who has one and pay them in beer for the use. (Ha Ha!)
