Price Paid:  $15.00 at Performance

Summary:
This is a great little stand. Maybe the best $15 I spent in the past year. Real handy for cleaning the drivetrain and doing other basic work that doesn't involve major wrenching. Also works great as a simple stand... beats leaning your bike against trees and furniture...

Strengths:
Price
Lite
Small / Out-of-the-way
It works!

Weaknesses:
None here

Price Paid:  $16.00 at performance.com

Bike Setup:
Cannondale CAAD3, Ultegra.

Summary:
This repair stand is designed to have a square mast pass through a square receiver. The first one I received has excess welding material on the inside of the receiver. The mast could be inserted only a couple of cm before getting hungup (and scraping badly) the surface of the mast. Unuseable. I returned it for a replacement. Replacement item = same problem. I've asked for advice from Performance - I have no confidence that requesting additional copies will yield better results and I don't have time to mess around with $16 items. I'm pretty disappointed.

Strengths:
If it worked, it would be an inexpensive, convenient way to store the bike and perform modest repairs.

Weaknesses:
Manufacturing defects pervent use.
