Strengths: Very smooth and quite. Not a lot of chain noise compared to SRAM Red. Shifting to big ring in front is quick and clean. Shifting to a lower gear is effortless, again compared to SRAM Red. Brakes are strong.Weaknesses: Too much play on shifting to a higher gear. I Like SRAM Red better for this feature. The shifter/hood shape is okay. A little narrow for my hands, not bad.Bottom Line: Purchased the Ultegra 6700 group except for the crank. I cannot believe how smooth and quiet the drive train is compared to my SRAM Red. Much better than the old DA 7800. For the cost, I can't imagine the DA7900 being much smother. Rear D engages quickly, the front D is very, very quick to change to the big ring.
Favorite Ride: PCH north or south
