Strengths: Shimano Lookalike, seem pretty good to me so far.Weaknesses: Shimano Lookalike, stock pads are total garbage and will ruin your rims. have no clue why there were chosen. the pads are so bad that I have to give the overall rating a 1. Its that bad. Change of pads and the score would be 4.Bottom Line: Shimano Dura Ace lookalike. Initially I thought they sucked. Came to find out it was the pads that come with the IM Spirit stock that are absolute garbabe. They pads have eaten up my rims. Ive replaced with swiss black pads and the difference is shocking. I HAVE brakes now lol. Mechanically they seem fine to me but I have no other frame of reference to judge it by.

Strengths: -Works as advertised except for the pads.
-Pads are compatible with Kool Stop Dura-TypeWeaknesses: -Pads may eat your rimsBottom Line: The pads on these brakes didn't agree with my Real Design SuperSphere rims at all. Metal shards from the rim would immediately get into the pads and result in a loud scraping sound and little stopping power.
I checked the RBR forums and decided to try some Kool Stop Dura-Type pads with the black compound and the difference is like night and day. The Kool Stop pads work perfectly!
These brakes came on my bike. The front brake weighed in at 163g on my digital scale.

Strengths: strong, easy set-up and adjustmentWeaknesses: i needed a longer cylinder bolt than the stock bolt to properly mount the front brakes - couple bucks at my LBSBottom Line: i've enjoyed cane creeks other components and wanted to have them represented on my primary road bike, a fondriest carb level. they're the only non-italian component and they work great. plenty of stopping power, easy to modulate. easy to set up and adjust, they've got the same flippy cam thing that shimano has to open the calipers a bit to remove the tires. the black color with the clean white logos look great, too.
