Excellent power and modulation. Ultegra quality and matches other components on the bike.

As is typical of Shimano brakes (at least in my experience) their brake pads aren't very good.
The pads pick up metal from the rims which then begins to gouge the braking surface.
Changing to Kool Stop alleviates this problem.

These brakes replace a set of Cane Creek SCR-3L's which INMO aren't very good brakes.
I could never understand why Trek spec'd these black brakes on a bike whose components
are otherwise silver?
If you need long reach calipers, these are the best...
