Strengths:    Stopping power, weight.

Weaknesses:    Expensive.
Temporary lateral adjustment is difficult (minor issue)

Bottom Line:
The SRAM Red brakes work very well. They have lots of stopping power, they're light and there's not much slack in the levers. The quick release works well and also has about 8 clicks in between being fully open and fully closed, so that you can loosen the brakes on the road if you need to. The only small weakness I've found is that it's hard to push the calipers to one side or the other, so if you change a wheel and then realise that the wheel isn't quite straight and it's rubbing on one of the brake pads, you either have to loosen the brake using the quick release or stop and straighten the wheel in the dropouts. If other reviewers have not found this problem, can they pls mention it?
If you're buying the brakes separately, they cost about 3 times as much as a mid-range brakeset (Rival or 105), but although the brakes are definitely better and lighter, I don't think they're 3 times better than a good mid-range set.

Strengths:    Weight, Power, and Quality.

Weaknesses:    Not Free

Bottom Line:
These brakes are definately a lot nicer looking than the force, but also more powerful and better quality built. Not to mention light too. The better power might also be due to the slightly longer lever on the red shifter, I have big hands so that I'm sure contributes as well.
