Strengths:    Well modulated power, easy to adjust, can be set for wide tire clearance while still maintaining good power, very inexpensive, look good

Weaknesses:    Stock pads too hard, wide profile in rear may bother some riders while dismounting (I have had no problem).

Bottom Line:
Excellent brakes for the money. For about 5 dollars more than the Tektro Oryx, you get a much better and far more trouble free brake.

Would the cane creek scr-5 brake levers work with the tektro cr-720 brakes? I just want, cheap and all black. I'm in the process of building/ordering a Spot belt drive. I'm a little confused on which levers go with which brakes. Thanks for any advise.Read More »

Difference b/w Tektro CR520 and CR720 Cantis?

Anyone know the difference between these two brakes, besides the fact that the CR720 is slightly lighter, and appears to take a different size/type of pad (though the pads look almost identical.) Is it just a weight/fit/finish thing, and does anyone have any opinions on which flat out works bet ... Read More »
