Bike Setup:
2001 Diamondback Podium (slightly modified)

Summary:
This innovative product is little known except to serious motorcyclists. But they are among the highest quality eye protection available and they exceed their design objective.

I have owned two pair; both are Raptors. I bought my first pair because I wore contacts and nothing seemed to from the sudden and excruciating discomfort for having something fly into my eyes. Since then, I have had Lasik surgery, but I am hooked on them. I bought the second pair when the Snow Rose lens became available last winter for those days on the slopes. Traditional ski goggles fog too frequently and limit my peripheral vision too much. I now use that same pair for cycling and inline skating, too.

They are extremely comfortable, fog resistant, shatter proof, and scratch proof. Recently, I wore them whitewater raftering, and like a bonehead, I tried to dry the inside of the lenses while they were wet, explicitly against the care instructions. Consequently, I smeared the fog-proof coating. I sent them back to have the lenses replaced, for a mere $25, and the company sent me a new pair absolutely free! In less than two weeks! Apparently, they were treated as a warranty repair even though I was at fault for damaging. I love this company. They truely care about their product.

They are absolutely the coolest sunglasses I own and they get the most notice. You highly recommend that you stop by your nearest Harley-Davidson shop to check them out yourself.

Strengths:
Absolute protection from all manner of road debris and air-born particles. Total protection from UVA, UBC, and UVC rays. Comfortable and snug fitting. Very sharp styling

Weaknesses:
Limited peripheral vision, especially if you do not have the flexibility to pivot your head while pedaling.

They are a little high maintenance, which means you have to give them a little extra care, like occasionally dipping them in water to clean the saline out of the ocular seals. Or being careful not to wipe them dry when wet (you need to let them air dry before wiping). But if the seals should become detached, or a lens should become smeared or scratched, they will be repaired for free under the one-year warranty; and for only $25 after the warranty expires. You might even get a new pair like I did.
