Summary:
I just puchased my second pair after one of my kids broke the pair I have had for about 6-7 years. They held up great over the years. The fact I bought a second pair should say something right there.

Strengths:
They fit great. Full protection from the sun and road dust. Durable.

Weaknesses:
Price might be an issue for some people, but over the long haul, you will appriciate these glasses.

Summary:
Best glasses ever. I've worn these for more than three years and just cannot bring myself to replace them. Yes, they are heavier than some of the newer glasses (by 1 gram), but they just cannot be beat by anything I've tried and/or seen...and there has been a good deal of that. Too bad they're no longer available.

Strengths:
Bomb-proof frame (nearly four years, several crashes, and countless drops) and wide selection of lenses (which *are* easy to swap out *if* you know what you're doing) make this the best pair of glasses for sporting ever made.

Weaknesses:
Apart from that they are no longer made, the nose guard does leave small red marks on one's nose after a few hours on the bike.

why does this matter for a review of glasses?!

Summary:
Rudy Tayo's are great. The nose and ear pieces are easily adjustable to give you the perfect fit. The glasses wrap around your whole face and give you a big field of vision. They are vented just fine, but do occassionaly fog up when you stop. They are light enough to be unnoticeable when you are riding. They come with a cleaning cloth and a hard case.

And they look super cool! If you want to look like Jan Ullrich circa 2001, then these are the specs for you!

Strengths:
Good coverage, light, cool looking and a great warranty. This winter, I broke the frame and lost a lens of my 3 year old pair of Tayo's after an endo on the mtb. I sent them back to Rudy and they sent me a brand new pair with a new set of upgraded lenses for $50 inside of 1 week. Not super cheap, but a LOT less expensive than a brand new pair of glasses.

Weaknesses:
Probably a little big for some people's faces. Can fog a bit when you stop.

Summary:
Dropped them on a vinyl floor from only 1 metre and the frame broke next to the nose piece - can't be glued successfully. One of the rubber bits on the side bars fell off when I took them off - never to be seen again. Other wise they were reasonably good - now just a piece of (expensive to replace) junk - as they are no longer covered by warranty as they are no longer listed as a current catalogue item by Rudy.

Strengths:
Great optics and nice fit - easy to adjust to get them just right. Stay put on your nose - even when down on the drops

Weaknesses:
Frame brittle and doesn't appear to be repairable. Other bits fell of them. Fog up when you stop. Sweat drips from top down over lenses. Blind spot to rear quarter - need to turn head a long way

Summary:
have had these for awhile now and i can say i like em alot more on someone else's face.too heavy. they slide down my face prety much all the time. and they fit against my face rather then on my ears.
gettin rid of em where i got em.

Strengths:
large coverage;multi-lens capability;lenses are pretty scratch resistent.

Weaknesses:
after the initial cooleness of new stuff wears off and you start recognizing the features and flaws you realize what you got. eithier something lasting or junk. these are heavy; the lens changing function failed early-on;lens would no longer pop in and stay securely.anti fog my ass.
