at e-Bay Favorite Ride: Farmington Canal Bike Setup: Cannondale R700, FSA Wing Pro, Hutchinson Fusion 2, Ultegra and 105 mixed components, Truvatim cranks, Koobi saddle Summary: I love these glasses. The eye coverage is perfect no matter your position on the bike. No more looking over the frames on downhill descents. Interchangeable lenses work well. The glasses can usually be purchased at a good price on the internet. Strengths: Visibility at all head angles
Light but stay in place on your head Weaknesses: Nose guards wore out but Smith replaced them free of charge. Polarization wore off lenses (after many uses) Similar Products Used: Oakley

Price Paid:

at rei Summary: I like these better than the Oakley Half Jacket I've been using. I find the lens tints (brown, rose) to be great--better than than Oakley, and the optics are, IMHO, just as good at half the price per set of lenses. The frame seems very low-tech as far as fit and finish--they seem very cheaply made, especially the hinges. We'll see how they hold up. What I do like about the frame is the adjustable nose piece, which helps hold the frame up high enough so that light doesn't leak in in riding position--a problem with lots of glasses out there. Strengths: very useful lens tints
good wrap/keeps out extraneous light
adjustable nosepiece
sticks well to face
skinny tapered ear pieces don't interfere with helmet straps Weaknesses: Though I doubt I'll ever break these, they don't seem to have the fit/finish of other Smith models. Similar Products Used: oakley half jacket xlj
