Price Paid:
$0.00 Bike Setup: Custom Ti Summary: Nice glasses with good optics for driving, etc, but not good for sweaty summer riding. Like the previous reviewer, the Megol nosepads on mine disintigrated and lens coatings started peeling due to sweat, despite good care and cleaning. To Smith's credit, they did take care of the problem right away with a new set of glasses and lens. But I cannot recommend them for harsh use in athletic endeavors. I now save them just for casual use and use cheaper ones that hold up better for sweaty bike rides. Ironically, I have a cheap pair that I got for only $5 on sale that has held up well in the same conditions for over 3 years. Strengths: Good optics, comfortable. Weaknesses: Nose pads, lenses are not durable, especially with sweat. Similar Products Used: Many others, most less expensive

Price Paid:
$0.00
at LBS Bike Setup: 2005 Giant T-Mobile Summary: I love the product although there have been some quality issues; 1-) Nose piece was split from assembly but Smith immediately sent 2 replacements sets. 2-) Lens coating was peeling - sent e-mail & pictures and Smith immediately gave me an RMA # for return... 10 days later, new lenses! No questions asked. Smith Optics has excellent customer service. Would defenitely buy another Smith product. Strengths: Excellent customer service. Weaknesses: Nose piece (rubber)was split from assembly. Coating on lens started peeling where sweat would collect even though I cleaned them after every ride. Similar Products Used: Cheaper ones...
