Price Paid:  $249.00 at Motion Cycling-Fishe

Bike Setup:
Serotta Legend with full Ultegra and Shimano DuraAce 7850SL and Hutchinson tubeless. One smooth ride.

Summary:
I already had a Bell Sweep and tried on it, the Specialized S-Works and Propero, and Giro Ionos all at the same store. I really wanted to like the $100 Propero based upon reviews but the S-Works and Ionos felt much better. The Ionos just felt highest quality and fit me like a glove so that and the ventilation claims convinced this frugal cyclist to part with that much money. I am so glad that I did. The comfort and ventilation are very much superior to the Bell Sweep. I wore the Sweep the other day and could not believe how much hotter I felt.

Strengths:
Quality feel, fit, light weight and ventilation.

Weaknesses:
Roc Loc tab broke. My LBS was able to get me a replacement with a few days.

Similar Products Used:
Bell Sweep R and Trek Interval 2.

Summary:
I have used Giro for a couple of years now...this was my first was Giro Ionos...I loved the style and the airflow look of the helmet...its light and very durable..very little noise..I bought the Yellow/White Medium helmet..after one year I am disappointed in the life of the color...my helmet collor has faded and has the sun bleached effect..but I ride almost everyday...

Strengths:
light,Airflow,style

Weaknesses:
Expensive,Color fades after time..with-in- a years use.

Price Paid:  $220.00 at amazon

Bike Setup:
E5 aerotec(s) 1(TT)DA,FSA 1(road) DA,FSA 1(road) all 105

Summary:
Atmos M fit me perfect ionos M pressure points at the temples.. had to switch to a large. Both the atmos and the ionos are great helmets.. but the ionos takes getting use to. the airflow from under your eyebrows going up over your head feels odd..specially when wearing cycling glasses, almost feels like the helmet isnt on right. my first 2 rides I kept taking it off and checking.. the atmos doesnt do the airflow under the helmet-over your head. Now that I have used the helmet a few times I am use to the difference in the way it fits.

Strengths:
giros (atmos and ionos) are just great helmets.. and look good on your head

Weaknesses:
Ionos airflow (not necessarily a weakness) takes getting use to. really noticable when wearing cycling glasses. you glasses become an air foil for the bottom lip of the helmet. Way too pricey.. but I am frugal

Similar Products Used:
atmos, bell sweep (still use them too)

Favorite Ride:
PCH

Bike Setup:
Cervelo R3

Summary:
A great helmet- I would rate it about the same as Specialized 2d for style and fit. It is expensive, but not considering that I use it every time I ride.

Strengths:
Lightweight, low wind noise, color- I have the red and black which looks great with the carbon color accents- colorful w/o going over the top. Fit is very good- I can tighten the helmet evenly and ride for several hours w/o having huge lines on my forehead afterwards from winter liners. Haven't tried it yet in hot weather. Straps are nicely positioned, and they are red, which matches the helmet. The profile might take a few minutes to get used to- it fits very low over the forehead.

Weaknesses:
Adjusting in back could be easier and smoother- the Bell Sweep is a little better in this with its wheel.

Similar Products Used:
Giro Atmos and Pneumo, Specialized decibel
