Strength:

Very light

Weakness:

Not as cool as the Aeon, not particularly aero.

If you want a very light helmet for a monster climb and don't care too much about staying cool or getting aero, this helmet is for you. The aeon is a better all around helmet despite being a tad heavier.

Light... pro quality.
Roc Loc SL is nice, but doesn't fit everyone

Weakness:

Venting - it does not do a good job of that. My head tends to overheat on extended climbs, more so than my previous helmet the ionos.

I got this helmet as a gift, I was quite happy with my existing Ionos, but happily added this to my quiver of lids. First impression was that it was not as edgy looking as the Ionos or even the Atmos. But I guess it's not suppose to be, it's meant to be light. It does that quite well. I think it comes in at something like 200 grams, which is pretty light, I had heard from other reviewers that it felt more like you were wearing a ball cap than a helmet. It does that with the help of the Roc Loc SL retention system. I found it to fit quite well, but YMMV on this. I'd suggest trying this on before purchase. Though there are three setting for the Roc Loc, they may not fit you well enough.

The fancy nylon straps, sourced from italy apparently, were nice new, but I found that they just don't absorb as well as the previous material found in other Giro offerings. It may not matter to most people, but I found myself with more sweat running down the side of my face because the straps couldn't absorb as well as my previous helmet. Not a deal breaker, but something I noticed.

That being said, I love how light this helmet feels on my head. Though from time to time I think the prolight feels like a repurposed children's helmet with fancy straps on it.

Comfortable fit , lightness

On my first two rides I had to check to make sure that I had a helmet on. It feels similar to the Ionos in fit but its weight is unreal. Rode in cold wetaher with cap under and also in warm weather without. Right ventilation for both conditions.
