Price Paid:  $45.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Eastern Township

Bike Setup:
Ryffranck Columbus Ultrafoco
Full ultegra
FSA Carbon Cranks

Summary:
Great helmet, excellent ventilation. I use to ride often without a helmet (way back when!) because I did not like the "heat". Bougth this one because of the cool looks and was on sale. Really feels like I am not wearing a helmet at all. Can't compare to any other helmets (had 2) but it is pretty lightweigth.

Strengths:
Excellent ventilation
Nice look (have the Carbon one)
Confortable

Weaknesses:
Pricey when retail

Similar Products Used:
Louis garneau mid-80s
Specialized

This helmet is the greatest. It is very comfortable and light. The helmet looks trick and the fast adjustments are convenient.

Strengths:
Air flow, comfort, easy adjustment, and rugged.

Weaknesses:

Italian, designed-in, comfort; great ventilation; light weight; looks as good as it feels.

Strengths:
Comfort for the large head size (esp. for the broad flat forehead). Good adjustments. Excellent padding w/ moisture wicking material.

Weaknesses:

Price Paid:  $55.00 at Performance

Favorite Ride:
Carlisle loop

Bike Setup:
Does it matter for helmet review? Ultegra equipped Trek 2500, 1999 model, as well as steel Bianchi from early 90ies.

Summary:
The helmet is very light, provides excellent ventillation and good looks for a very reasonable price. In general, Limar line of helmets are one of the best looking out there, IMPO.

The straps are relatively easy to work and provide a good degree of variability in fit, even though it could have been a little more adjustible (some strap loops are fixed). Word of caution - the sizing runs on the small side. The medium (54-57cm) barely fits someone like me (55.5 cm size, and it's pretty tight with the cycling cap or thin winter hat on) and I doubt it would fit a 57cm head. So if in doubt, get a larger size. The color schemes and 22-vent design is very nice, I actually prefer 105 model to 107 in terms of looks (105 has a "turbo" vent on top). 111 is nicer though, but the price bites.

One unusual feature is chinstrap cover (soft Coolmax wrap that goes around the chinstrap to prevent chaffing).

Strengths:
Reasonable price, light weight, great ventillation, good looks. Coolmax cover for chinstrap is a great idea.

Weaknesses:
sizing (your head may vary!) seems to run small. Straps may require some initial fiddling to achieve a good fit, but there's enough variability to achieve it.
