The helmet to the brunt of the fall and my head remained intact. I dont even have a bruise on my head. My concussion lasted about 5 days but thanks to my helmet, I am alive today.

    Strengths:
    Head protection, weight

    Weaknesses:
    chin strap

Price Paid:  $0.00 at The Bike Barn

    Bike Setup:
    Avanti Corsa Carbonio 2006

    Summary:
Great ventilation, great design, very light, very comfortable - what more can you want out of a helmet?

    Strengths:
Vents, Design, Comfort, Weight, Price (AUD$110).

    Weaknesses:
Strap dividers may require frequent readjusting, but this is no big deal - its a very secure fit.

    Price Paid:  $150.00 at LBS

    Favorite Ride:
    Anywhere hilly and sunny

    Summary:
The helmet looks great and I think its one of the better looking helemts around. Mine is bright yellow. There are heaps of colling vents but it doesn't seem to keep my head as cool as I think it should.

    Strengths:
    Looks great, light weight (250g)

    Weaknesses:
Not as good at keeping your head cool as it looks.

    Summary:
Price paid in Aussie$$$...Haven't had a stack on it yet so can't tell u if it offers good crash protection.

    Strengths:
But I can tell u its the best looking helmet in my opinion, looks sensational in bright yellow! Its very light, offers good ventilation, straps are easily adjustable with a great micro locking system, could not find a better looking or better featured helmet from Giro,Bell,Specialized etc...

    Weaknesses:
    none as yet...

    Similar Products Used:
Bell Forza Pro2,Giro,the good ol "Stack Hat" from Kmart, lots others....

Price Paid:  $100.00 at OD Box (Japan)

    Bike Setup:
2001 Specialized A1 Sport (Shimano 105) with Formula Xero wheels and Profile Design AirStrike 2000

    Summary:
I was looking for a higher-end road helmet, and used my trip to Japan to purchase one, since Met helmets aren't sold in US. Around 12,000 Yen (which converted to little less than $100 at the time) it was very affordable compared to Pneumo and S1 (Specialized). The helmet has huge vents that give it a very "edgy" look, and the straps are really easy to adjust. The helmet is lightweight and the air channels on the inside allow the air to flow excellently.

    Strengths:
Strikingly good looks, excellent air flow, light weight, and decent price.

    Weaknesses:
    None observed yet.

    Similar Products Used:
    Specialized Enduro Comp
