Strengths:    Snug fit. Laces on the inside and velcro on the outside. Very firm sole transmits power well.

Weaknesses:    Take a little time to break in. The top strap is sort of bulky and tends to rub against the crank arm if you have a low q factor, or protate outward (like I do).

Bottom Line:
These were the replacements for my 10 year old Shimano Road shoes (that I still use on my exercise bike...amazing).

I bought them because I liked the color, and they were dirt cheap. (and still are, see Bike Nashbar.com).

I've tried chasing the threads, but the mounts just spin in the frame. Does anyone h ... Read More »

If I hold the bike up and spin the rear wheel in the same direction it would spin if riding normally, it rapidly comes to a stop. Brakes are not rubbing, rim is true, tire i ... Read More »

Temperature in Spin Class

Dear Coaches, Are you all out there really coaches? I hope you can help with a gym rat controversy. I am doing spin classes at the local gym - too cold and snowy here to ride outside. A couple of the 'expert' spin instructors like to turn up the heat - like to 75 degrees. Our spin room is rat ... Read More »
