Bike Setup: 2009 Cannondale CAAD 9.7 - 16.6 pounds of road rocketry...and an excellent starter bike!
Summary: Being my very first road shoes- these shoes are in every respect like overpriced SIDI footwear...without the price tag. They fit, look and perform with the very same Italian quality you would expect from SIDI.
The composite sole is very stiff, however not quite as light as full carbon soled shoes. Out of saddle sprints still generate the power.
In fact, this shoe is made of the EXACTLY the same Lorica materials as the costly SIDI Genius series. Why pay another $250 for carbon soles and a fancy ratcheting strap?
If Cadel Evans trusts these shoes...so can YOU. They're a bargain, for 100% pure Italian quality!!!
