Strengths:    Stiffness, comfort, adjustability

Weaknesses:    None really. A bit fidly to get on.

Bottom Line:
Had to replace my 8 year old Specialized shoes as they were getting a bit tatty. I saw the PI P.R.O. Leader shoes on special for $189 so snaffled a pair. The size was correct according to their own chart, but turned out to be too tight. No problems exchanging them though. They have a carbon fibre sole which is supposed to make them very light but honestly, they didn't feel any different to my old "Plastic" soled shoes. I wouldn't say light weight is one of their attributes. The ratchet mechanism on the main shoe strap is great, if not a bit fiddly. Overall, I'm very happy with these shoes and find them very comfortable to rided long - distances in. They have good ventilation, but take a pair of shoe covers if you expect it to rain on your ride. If you can get them for the same price as I did, then they're great value too.

I've not read anything to indicate that there are more important issues tha ... Read More »
