Favorite Ride:
low traffic

Bike Setup:
Giant TCR 1T, Profile project X bars, Profile FF seatpost, Shimano 6600 wheels, d/a bar cons and BB, 105 derailers, ultegra elsewhere, king threadset w/ gripnut

Summary:
good beginner shoes, their relativly cheap and usually have a packadge deal that come with pedals for a little over a c-note. They feel pretty nice but the soles cause hot spots over distances, especilly w/ LOOK's.

Once upon a time I was riding home and the screw holding down my left buckle came undo. Performance offered to replace the shoes straight up without even checking on their condition. VERY NICE.

I would be buying a new set right now but the hot spots from a flexible sole are showing and my feet hurt bad, going to replace them with Acelleraptor shoes to be spd-r compadible.

these shoes fit Look, Potato, and w/ an adapter speedplays. performance really needs to update their shoes as I would have bought a new pair if only they had made them SPD-R compadible. they are not time compadible as far as I can see, but I believe that their is an adapter out their if your serious about clocks.

overall the upper has a very nice feel to it and the action on the clasp never needed oiling, although whenever you oil you chain, a small drop on the spring never hurt the mechanism

however the insert that is supplied, a slice of material with perforations, is trash, get any other insert as these slide around inside the box and cause discomfort. I rode them for a year and am not sorry to see them go, however replacement orthodicts or store bought inserts are cheap and relativly easy to come by.

value 10/5, Performance offered to replace both shoes straight up when a buckle fell out, thats called quality customer service.

overall 3.5/5, I'll give 4 for the benefit of the doubt and for service (see above) If only it was spuder comp. and was stiffer...... Overall very nice shoe that my slightly wide dogs fit into nicely

Strengths:
Cheap, lorica, simple on off, visually appealing; technical but not cluttered

Weaknesses:
relativly squishhy sole, have to make sure the buckle clasps are tightened down
