Strengths: These shoes are a good, cheap introduction to the world of clipless pedals. Unlike a lot of bike shoes in the sub-$150 range, these shoes are roomy enough to fit people with wide feet. . .Weaknesses: . . . which will be a problem for you if, like me, your feet are fairly narrow. The toe box is cavernous, and the positioning of the front strap (combined with the two-strap design) makes it really difficult to snug things down. As a result, when spinning hard it feels like your feet flop around excessively and the shoes are much less comfortable than they could or should be. Also, the sole has what seems to be an exotic curvature.Bottom Line: I bought these shoes because, as a rank beginner, I didn't think I could really justify the expense of a better pair of shoes, and at sale price these shoes were $30-40 cheaper than shoes at the next price point up. Three months later, I have mixed feelings about the decision. As far as fit and comfort goes, the low-end Lake or Shimano road shoes would have been much better. But, performance-wise, they're not a drastic improvement over the Primos. The Performance shoes will certainly tide me over until I can afford to plump down the $$ to order some Sidis from one of the European online shops.

Strengths: Very inexpensive and fairly good quality.Weaknesses: The insoles that come with the shoes are flimsy at best. Plan on a serious pain in your foot where the cleat is unless you purchase a set of sof soles to go in the shoes. Other than that, they are a good cheap shoeBottom Line: If you are new to cycling and want to make the upgrade to clipless pedals, these are a great addition. Plan on the fact that you will be paying an additional $10-$15 for insoles to go with the shoes though. If you are a more established cyclist, I still feel the shoes would be a good buy if you are looking for a training pair.

Strengths: looks (the all black version)Weaknesses: none so farBottom Line: I was looking for some road shoes under $100 (since I only ride about 50 miles per week) and ended up with these and they are great shoes for the price. They fit my feet better than the Nikes and Shimanos I tried and they were on sale at my local performance shop. I'm very pleased so far.
