Summary:
Not sure about the shoe names for Scott shoes here - think they refer to a bit older lineup. Anyway - the shoe I have is a 09 model with carbon sole that wraps around heel and velcro straps. And here is what I think of it:

To put it very simple - if you have a wide foot and you live some place warm, its well worth considering this shoe. I would not expect this to be a very popular choice, yet at a competitive price they make lot of sense to me. I chose them, as I have a wide foot and they were the best fit I could find.

The first thing that you notice about the shoe is the carbon sole that wraps up around the heel. I guess, if you concentrate real hard, you can feel it working while pedaling. If not - it certainly doesn't cause problems and gives you pleasant feeling that some one has bothered to think about it.

The thing that you should feel when picking it up though is the weight, or the lack of it to be more precise. I haven't been able to find the official figure, but I'm pretty sure that there aren't much lighter shoes to be found. The reason for this lightness is a very thin carbon sole on the lower part and not much else on the upper part of the shoe. Because of this I could even use a word fragile to describe it, yet I don't think that there will be reliability issues because of that.
Two issues that arise because of that though are related to the feel of the thing. As its currently getting quite cold at my place (about +10 C) its impossible to keep my foot warm in them. Should be a bonus in a hot summer day though. The other issue that I have is hot sports after a bit longer rides. I'm not certain its the fault just of the thin sole, as it could also be the cleat position or the pedal. Some more experiments should help to understand that...

Strengths:
Very light and comfortable. Straps allow for good adjustment. The only slight worry is that they may wear off...

Weaknesses:
Very slippery on smooth surfaces, as there is only a small plastic bit on the heel.

Still have hot spot issues, but not sure, whether its the thin sole, or wrong pedals for my foot...

Summary:
Great looking shoes. I have a wide foot so finding shoes is not easy. Sidis megas are a little on the expensive side so I opted for these. I was not disapointed The are durrable and comfy. The ratchet system is great and easy to adjust in the fly. Great shoe for the money.
